about 2faced1.com

2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;

Persona 1:
WHAT YOU WANT TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

Persona 2:
WHAT YOU FEAR TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!

A 2FACED1 STATE OF MIND

A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. It means you have the feet in different worlds, can move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and have become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.

Hi my name is Selam and I'm an...

Post date Tue 1 Sep 2009 9:18 AM

Jumpsuholic...!?

Periodare! Is a good Swedish word of what and who i can be, when it comes to allot of THINGS in life!
(There most likely is an English word/slang for it like periodioerian!?!... or something, but me don't know it so... anyways...)

Periodare basically means doing something really intense for some time and other times not doing it at all, or almost, not, at all. Kinda like being totally hung up on something. And then just let it go and move on!?
I have been totally hung up on a zzzillion things.
My first symptom of this whatever it is, that i can remember was earrings.
I just lovelooveloooved earrings, i used to turn everything into something u could hang in the ear lib, it started when i was about 12 i think, creating my own earrings out of whatever i could find and liked in my moms jewelry box. When i think about it now.... i should be mad grateful that mom never opened a can of ass whopping when i did that shit...
The actual point whit all this is that for the last 3 years jump&play suits have been my intense love, but for a few month now the love has been fading away and I've been wanting to let them go and move on still once a jumpsuholic always a jumpsuholic... so Im'a keep the love we had live and kicking here!

/// Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak... sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go... ha ha... Z.
