about 2faced1.com

2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;

Persona 1:
WHAT YOU WANT TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

Persona 2:
WHAT YOU FEAR TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!

A 2FACED1 STATE OF MIND

A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. It means you have the feet in different worlds, can move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and have become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.

Hollywood Bowlin'

Post date Tue 6 Dec 2011 7:34 AM

And finally, the Robyn at the legendary Hollywood Bowl - post:

What an amazing night! I'm happy to have experienced such a thing on such legendary ground. Robin's achivement was the top of top notch and the 10 000 people in the audience went crazy b-a-n-a-n-a-s!!! We had some minor problems with the lightning, but overall it was a perfect night. I'm really satisfied with the intro (We Dance To The Beat / DFTMWTD) , something we had the idea of changing to make the starting point more powerful and it worked out sooo well! We had very little time to rehears that but with professional people everything gets solved anyhow! Just because we did this change we had to go all white so the UV light would catch Robyn in the dark, she was wearing the white McQueen tights some might have seen before but to that a knitleather body me together with Lena Buss have created for R to bw able to werk it out in.

"She's the definition of "fierce" on stage, donning wild, androgynous '80s-style get-ups, busting moves that put Beyonce to shame, and singing her obviously love-scarred heart out like it's the last time she'll ever get the chance.

The bells and whistles never overshadowed the performer herself, though. Unlike other pop divas Robyn doesn't rely on backup dancers, a zillion costume changes or cheesy props."

LA Weekley

The after party turned into a wrecking shop where a skirt, not even by the brand of Jean Paul Gaultier, wasn't a good choice of clothing.  It was one of those parties where we didn't have the time to take pictures...!!! And my muscles was hurting the day after.

If someone seen pictures from the second change, the CK belt + blue/bright tights please do enlighten me!

The amazing audience, shot by moi!!!

Did someone say legendary ground. huh?

Feeling so jealous right now! Looks like it was an awesome show and Robyn is looking amazing. Anyone know if there's an video footage floating about? Love to see how it really looked (photos never can quite do the lighting of a concert justice..)

I agree, I thoroughly enjoy reading the behind the scenes stuff. I was at the Bowl show down in the pit and left on such a high. It was beyond great. I ran across some pictures of the second outfit here --> http://www.flickr.com/photos/yumpickles/6272180246/in/photostream/ Hope it helps! Have fun at SNL :D

The problem with the Paramount was just that we wasn't done with the rehearsal of DFTMWTD, that was why she ate a banana in the beginning, which maybe wasn't needed yet...!

I Loooooooove it when you do this for your fans, it is so cool to have insight into what goes on behind the scenes! I was at the Seattle show a couple days earlier and The Paramount was so great to have Robyn do her thang in....The intro was the best with her clothes all lit up and dramatic, great decision to open up the show that way!
