the MENSWEAR worth checking out in Paris so far:
Juun J
And the winner is: JUUN J - He stays in the lead as one of my favorite menswear designers! I demand a womens line NOW, but why care I would rock this menswear stuff any day, especially when these model guys are soooo thin. More at Fashionisto

Balenciaga Padding becomes interesting part late 70s part robotics

John Galliano
He did a Shetlock Holmes, some JPG suits (including corset!), and then a couple matador outfits that felt really Galliano and still possible for a nu-school-ghetto-dandy 2010, I would have wished this as the main theme for the whole collection. Then he got on the acid. See it here
Gaultier
Jean Paul Gaultier
JPG is always jpg and there is great creativity, concept and craftmanship but what the house can need is a creative direction to turn on the compass in the precense, fetching that Zeitgeist, there has beens some ups and unneccesary downs lately. And BTW did you see Chris Brown next to the bruised Jean Paul - from "wife" beating to gaybashing?!! More at Fashionisto
Kris Van Assche
A perfect cut on some wider pants, always some nice boots/kicks, but other than that a little bit to reclusive for me who usually fancy his work. Fashionisto
CDG
Comme Des Garcon:
Interesting silouette with suits that had shorts over the pants and bright green shoes. See more at Fashionisto
Junya Watanbe
Rudeboys with slim silouettes but nothing exactly new. Fashionisto
Rick Owens
The dark knight developed a great shoulder section for any lord of darkness out there, but the massive collars I could have done without. See more over at the Fashinisto blog

Yves Saint Laurent
More dull colors, black togheter with dark brown, here lovely draped pants, notice the lenght and a new version of the pilot jacket! Fashinisto
Givenchy
Clean cut and you know what ever Riccardo Tisci does he does it good, but not close to as amazing as last season, of course this is for a F/W season but still.
BLAAK
Top 5 in my book last season - for uniqness, but a bit disappointed this season, - too random, yes even with big wooden crucifix. Fashionisto
