2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;
Persona 1: WHAT YOU WANT TO BE CONSIDERED AS
Persona 2: WHAT YOU FEAR TO BE CONSIDERED AS
This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!
A 2FACED1 STATE OF MIND
A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. Self awareness is a gift, because it also helps you to understand other peoples situations better. To be a 2FACED1 is to have the feet in different worlds, be able to move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and has become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.
2FACED1 is a state of mind, 2FACED1.com is a display-window for this mindset and the network of 2FACED1 includes all of you progressive non-stereotypes with a double perspective on identity.

DURING THE 80'S THE FEROCIOUS JODY WATLEY PAVED THE WAY FOR TODAY'S RNB/POP DIVAS WITH HER CROSSOVER SOUL/POP/DANCE MUSIC, BEAUTY ANDSENSE OF STYLE. SHE STARTED OUT AS A DANCER ON THE LEGENDARY SOUL TRAIN SHOW, MOVED ON AS A SINGER IN SHALAMAR, TO FINALLY BECOME A SOLO ARTIST IN 1984. WE REMEMBER HITS LIKE "A NIGHT TO REMEBER", "REAL LOVE" AND "FRIENDS"- FEATURING RAKIM, WHICH ACTUALLY WAS THE FIRST OFFICIAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN A RNB-SINGER AND RAPPER, TODAY AN EXTREMELY RELIABLE CONCEPT. WE BORROWED JODYs SIGNATURE ITEMS; THE GIANT SILVER HOOPS, BIG HAIR, SHARP EYEBROWS, UNISEX WEAR AND MADE A LATE 80s LOOK FRESH FOR 09!
WEAVE:To get that big hair choose between doing a weave or just add some tracks to fill out and lengthen your hair. The best way to do extensions is by using the weaving method. You can choose to either braid your entire head or just tracks that go from ear to ear or back of the head. This method is nicer to your own hair compared to other techniques. When tracks are made, fasten the extensions by sewing. You can wear the weave for about ca 2 months, the price varies starting from around 90 Euro. When washing the hair, be sure to comb it through before wetting it, make a thick braid of the hair and gently massage it with shampoo. Always finish off with an oil based conditioner to prohibit the hair from tangling. We recommend using real hair because of the simple fact it looks better but also because use of synthetic hair often adds on to an itchy scalp.
STYLING:Start out by using a curling iron for bigger locks together with Redkens Heat Protector, Spray Starch 15. After the curling take a big brush and slightly brush through the hair turning your head upside down, but avoid brushing the ends and carefully work yourself through your hair without destroying the curls entirely. Use fingers to separate the locks at the ends and finish of with Redkens Forcefull 23 spray and Redkens Vinyl Glam 02 for perfect shine and hold.

”Decida is a pop cultural nerd, music fiend and global inner-city citizen based in Stockholm. A "Jackie" of many trades who realized that the message is more important than the type of media you're working with, She has a background in social studies and graphic design, and is currently a Creative Director and a stylist or "Stylosopher", as she likes to say. "I'm one who uses clothing as codes for identity, knows the brand history both the official one and the one of the streets and sees style as a reaction of the society it's created in" she says."
