We are going through pretty vivid times in Sweden at the moment, the way I see it the last piece of the intersectionality puzzle: the discussion about racism and Swedish exceptionalism, is finally starting, slowly, making it's way up on the official Sweden's agenda. Soon we can start working through things for realZ!
Had a coffee with Mr Timbuktu yesterday, agreeing on the fact how it's a good thing when people show their true colors and most of all; a lot of good folks you didn't know about, stepping up. Timbuk has done one of my favorite Swedish rap songs ever "Jag Drar" (2002) (basically "I'm Out"), it nails the ambivalent feeling I've had in the back of my head since I turned eighteen and could move, more or less. I travel but the base is still Sweden. So I suppouse that means we need to keep stepping and get those changes made here. Now.

Oivvio Polite's nifty timeline including all articles concerning the debate in Sweden on Racism, Tintin, Wirsén etc. Extra Highlights on:
- Ylva Habel, Scholar and Lecturer, Media & Communications, who we invited for the Black Face panel talk has written an extremely important piece about Sweden in SvD. It sums up pretty much everything that we have been talking about as problematic with this country. A MUST READ for all Swedes (hopefully we can get a sort of translation sooner or later) "Den Svenska vithetens blinda fläck".
- My old soccer pal and style icon Lawen Mothadi finally releases "Den dag jag blir fri", a book about the iconic activist Katarina Taikon, telling another story of Sweden. Lawen is also the person behind this brilliant piece " Varför hånas de kritiska rösterna?"
- Extra <3 to our 2FACED1-bro Nathan Hamelberg in Nya Vågen (Radio) who's breaking down something very personal on one hand, in a carefully prepared vocuabulary, for the ones who don't understand, to understand.
PS: It's Friday: The first official 2FACED1 Alexander Salzberger created Surdegshotellet together with a bunch of other stars for P1 Godmorgon, världen! If you missed it this summer listen here . FUNNY as hell!
Do you think I forgot all about the style in the tagline? 2FACED1's Oscar Stenberg provided me with some new press-photos, here they come:
