2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;
Persona 1: WHAT YOU WANT TO BE CONSIDERED AS
Persona 2: WHAT YOU FEAR TO BE CONSIDERED AS
This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!
A 2FACED1 STATE OF MIND
A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. Self awareness is a gift, because it also helps you to understand other peoples situations better. To be a 2FACED1 is to have the feet in different worlds, be able to move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and has become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.
2FACED1 is a state of mind, 2FACED1.com is a display-window for this mindset and the network of 2FACED1 includes all of you progressive non-stereotypes with a double perspective on identity.

The New York City premiere of Free Angela and All Political Prisoners was held on Wednesday night (April 3). Trailer above.
"Free Angela tells the dramatic story of how a young professor’s social justice activism implicates her in a botched kidnapping attempt that ends with a bloody shootout, four dead, and her name on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list.
In this historical vérité style documentary, marking the 40th anniversary of her acquittal on charges of murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy, Angela Davis recounts the politics and actions that branded her a terrorist and simultaneously spurred a worldwide movement for her freedom as a political prisoner. At its core, the story wrestles with the meaning of political freedom in a democracy negotiated between the people and its government. Strong, attractive, and engaging, Angela Davis is one such person who became a symbol at the center of this still relevant power struggle."
Killed this one last fall, now it also got a rap...a reason to listen to it again, even if the rap doesn't pricesly make the song better. But it's A$AP and I hope Jessie Ware gets more recognition in the States. She's worth it. Jassie Ware feat. A$AP Rocky "Wildest Moments" (maybe she should had Tyler on the track instead, thinking that his emo vibe on IFHU would've suited this dramatic production...)
Me, mr. D and Mie had a lovely dinner with this man last summer when he was visiting Sweden, now finally here are some new music from Yasin Bey's, formely known as Mos Def, and Mannie Fresh's upcoming project!
I'm just working and working, should see an end to it soon.
In times like these (the ones following me on twitter and facebook know I've been furious over what's going on in this country...plot of the bullheads) one needs to think about material thangs for a change, just to rest eyes on something that will fill you with harmony, meditating over them perfect shapes. I bought an other yellow pair in London last week, if this snow can melt down they'll be on like popcorn.
...and at KENZO in Kenzo, a skirt by Hernandez Cornet and a piece of shoes the Robyn fan has seen before. I made these for MTV VMA in 2010! Supposed to be worn with fresh flowers!
Other than that:
- I am remenicing over being into popping while watching the new Missy protégé Sharaya J in "Banji" (Missy must be amazingly happy over being able to sign an act who can have her first single actually called "Banji" in 2013)
- Making sure no one missed this piece. Am being joyful over how the issues we've always have been addressing with the whole 2FACED1 project finally hits the agenda of the "official Sweden"
It's here! The Fader just released the video for the 2FACED1-project, the short film The Ocean, wich of course also is the new single by Saturday, Monday featuring Julia Spada. Maceo Frost and Robin Günther took Bianca and Dennis to the island of Öland, yes you've seen Jasmin's pictures - those beautiful, cold Öland days.
Take a listen, the song is so beautiful, Julia's vocals are splendid and the universial tale of letting go is something all of us have our own private backdrop to.
Here comes another piece, me and the royal Pernilla Philip (also my muse at the moment - more to come on that) cooked up a vest for the Australia tour. We didn't want to compromise with the color so the blue leather bacame slightly thinner than planned but over all it did turn out great. Also check out; the Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton tights - hepp.
Other than that what am I doing? Working on the before mentioned "The Project", spending time at adidas Originals brand managing, formulating for myself why I get so upset over pop culture who don't understand it's inherent possibilities for progress. Basically trying to navigate in this constantly changing world.
Speaking of two-faced-one huh?! I saw Mykki Blanco last year:
"Every fan of hardcore rap should have been there yesterday. You know me - always had a soft spot for dem hardcore rappers since way back. Hence I happen to be one of the 30+ ladies who in the right mood would be body slaming at any OF, or say ONYX, concert
Imagine then the pleasentness of going nuts to 2FACED1-certified rap, cause o'boy, there is a huge difference in going stupid to the sound of a stereotypophobe like Mykki Blanco, compered to any straight, masculine, agressive stereotype." (Link to this old Blog Post)
Mykki is playing at BERNS tomorrow and this will be one of the concerts you just can't miss. Lucky you 2FACED1-reader, cause one lucky winner gets 2 tickets to the concert! Answer this question before kl 14.00 tomorrow.
WHO ARE LEAST LIKELY TO BE MYKKI BLANCO's PARENTS (Update: we had to change the questions cause two answers was right!!!)
