HAIR STYLIST SARAH ÅSARD @ KARISMA shared some of her "big hair"- tips:
WEAVE: To get that big hair choose between doing a weave or just add some tracks to fill out and lengthen your hair. The best way to do extensions is by using the weaving method. You can choose to either braid your entire head or just tracks that go from ear to ear or back of the head. This method is nicer to your own hair compared to other techniques. When tracks are made, fasten the extensions by sewing.
You can wear the weave for about ca 2 months, the price varies starting from around 90 Euro.
When washing the hair, be sure to comb it through before wetting it, make a thick braid of the hair and gently massage it with shampoo. Always finish off with an oil based conditioner to prohibit the hair from tangling.
We recommend using real hair because of the simple fact it looks better but also because use of synthetic hair often adds on to an itchy scalp.
STYLING: Start out by using a curling iron for bigger locks together with Redkens Heat Protector, Spray Starch 15. After the curling take a big brush and slightly brush through the hair turning your head upside down, but avoid brushing the ends and carefully work yourself through your hair without destroying the curls entirely.
Use fingers to separate the locks at the ends and finish of with Redkens Forcefull 23 spray and Redkens Vinyl Glam 02 for perfect shine and hold.
