about 2faced1.com

2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;

Persona 1:
WHAT YOU WANT TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

Persona 2:
WHAT YOU FEAR TO BE
CONSIDERED AS

This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!

A 2FACED1 STATE OF MIND

A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. Self awareness is a gift, because it also helps you to understand other peoples situations better. To be a 2FACED1 is to have the feet in different worlds, be able to move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and has become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.

Kenzo

Post date Sat 16 Mar 2013 10:42 PM

...and at KENZO in Kenzo, a skirt by Hernandez Cornet and a piece of shoes the Robyn fan has seen before. I made these for MTV VMA in 2010! Supposed to be worn with fresh flowers!

Other than that:

- I am remenicing over being into popping while watching the new Missy protégé Sharaya J in "Banji" (Missy must be amazingly happy over being able to sign an act who can have her first single actually called "Banji" in 2013)

- Making sure no one missed this piece. Am being joyful over how the issues we've always have been addressing with the whole 2FACED1 project finally hits the agenda of the "official Sweden"

Leather Vest 4 Fezt

Post date Thu 21 Feb 2013 6:23 PM

Here comes another piece, me and the royal Pernilla Philip (also my muse at the moment - more to come on that) cooked up a vest for the Australia tour. We didn't want to compromise with the color so the blue leather bacame slightly thinner than planned but over all it did turn out great. Also check out; the Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton tights - hepp.

Robyn's Custom Carhartt Coat

Post date Wed 29 Aug 2012 8:39 AM

More than one and a half year later, finally a spot on the customized Carhartt jacket I and designer Julia Hederus created for Robyn. Robyn used it for the epic Radio City Music Hall concert Feb 2011 in New York City. We gave the jacket a slimmer fit, used a plastic material in the middle of it to show off more figure. Remade the arms (see the bend of the arm), and made up a pattern on the fabric (you see it above the pockets), voilá - a hotter version of the classic Chore Coat!

For me it's a tribute to rappers like the iconic BO$$.

New York Times 1992

In the late 1980's, crack dealers, who also spend a lot of time outdoors, discovered the Carhartt. "They needed to keep warm and they needed to carry a lot of stuff," said Steven J. Rapiel, the New York City salesman for Carhartt. "Then the kids saw these guys on the street, and it became the hip thing to wear."

In My White Tee - Grammy 2012

Post date Wed 7 Mar 2012 11:01 AM

All white like a party by Diddy back when he was Puffy. When I wrote this line <- here I did not know I was going to hang out with the dude upcoming weekend hahaha!

Finally it's time to post the Grammy outfit. Robyn wear Calvin Klein tee, Philip van de Roq earpiece, Back Ateljé ring, Timbs, and an little bag that José  helped us out to take from idea to reality! Skirt is a development of the silouette of a dress Ann-Sofie Back made for Robyn last year, short front long back, R likes it cause it suits her lenght better than an all long. This one is even more simplistic in it's construction to go with the style and is made in a very special stiff fabric that Lena helped me to develop. It's a pity you don't get the feeling throgh your screen, cause it adds something special to the mix!

Feckin bouss in her white tee!!!

Only Love - The Video

Post date Wed 29 Feb 2012 6:28 PM

If all DJ's looked like David Günther I would've been more of a typical European Techno/House geezer - standing staring at the DJ with a hand in the air - instead of dancing. Luckily they don't look like David or his talented twin brother Robin, who've done this video together with another skilled young man; Maceo Frost.

Robin is also the dude who helped us out organizing the new 2FACED1 site (but we know he think we fucked his design up a bit, but that's us fucking up things...2F1 style). David on the other hand you do recognize from the 2FACED1/WeSC campaign.

We did this video more than 1,5 year ago, me on styling, you've seen some stills before but here is the final video to David's song "Only Love". Also notice all the Philip Van De Roq jewelry! Download the song here.

Behind The Scenes: Henok Achido

Post date Sun 15 Jan 2012 2:33 PM

Rapper Henok Achido released his new nice-looking video for "The King & The Killa" some weeks ago, see it below. For the video (Dir. Andreas Lönngren Widell + Senai Berhe) Henok claimed help from the "King of Style", as he had the courtesy to call me hehe!!! The video was made in October, and did not, of course, focus on style - we just needed to pick a bang on silouette that fitted Henok's character and the concept of the video. He wears Lee bib-and-braces (love em!), Burgundy DrMartens, white crispy tee, a hoodie and a vintage Burberry coat, worked out perfect!

PS. In the next video I expect Henok to sit in a park smelling flowers!
