about 2faced1.com

2FACED1.com shows one persons two different faces in photos;

Persona 1:

Persona 2:

This leads to a discussion about stereotypes and inner fears of getting misunderstood by the surroundings. Thoughts that every thinking modern day person does reflect upon. We're asking every day people from an innercity context where old categories as ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and class are reassessed, why they choose to look like they do. We’re diggin' deep, peeling off garments, codes and attributes. We’re searching for transnational identities - is the conclusion that we choose whoever we want to be today?!

A 2FACED1 is highly aware of existing stereotypes related to your own ethnicity, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and class. You’re trying to avoid them but sometimes also play with them to make people think twice about who you are. Two faced doesn’t mean anything negative here, it explains the double folded view you have on identity if you’re not the existing norm. Self awareness is a gift, because it also helps you to understand other peoples situations better. To be a 2FACED1 is to have the feet in different worlds, be able to move between them but feel rather at home in that space in between. You've stepped out of your comfort zone and has become one of the new identities where ol' categories are mashed up and rootlessness and non-given identity just means major possibilities.

Robyn + Philip Van De Roq VMA

Post date Wed 15 Sep 2010 5:58 PM

Here you have it Robyn's special Philip van de Roq piece -> especially made for the make-out-with-myself-dance! The pressrelase for this amazing brand (hehe acording to me) will be out veryvery soon, stay-hey-hey tuned!

I talked to Robyn on Skype afterwards and she was very pleased with the performance, she had to be - cause she killed it up there on her tower! Brought the pissed off, desperate, yet malancolic energy of the song the whole way to L.A. and Mtv VMA! #proud! The response has been massive! Too bad Mtv US cut it, only gave us 30 sec., wished they knew better. As you might have heard she was at the Gossip Girl set yesterday, she will appear in an episode to come, and she doing it her way.

MTV interview "And usually, awards shows can be so strange, but [the VMAs] felt really real. There were so many stars there and so many expectations, so I wanted to make sure I went up onstage and did something that felt real, and I got all this love from all the people at MTV. I felt really wanted. It was really amazing"

The After Party

8 Months Later...

Post date Wed 1 Sep 2010 6:20 PM

Feels like I've been nagging about my 501 for ages -and ages, finally those sweet ol jeans gets attention in the small land up north; cause our don't-give-a-f  ELLE Gala outfit is gettin' recognition for what it is thank's to Maria Lindholm at SvD.

Polar Prize

Post date Mon 30 Aug 2010 9:20 PM

Wohooo I've met Björk in the corridor in the Konserthuset today!!! We're there with Robyn, who performed HYPER BALLAD for the Polar Prize winner! I just helped out with some accessories (but in the end it became the old favorite vintage Jean Paul Gaultier piece I bought before) and Naomi Itkes and Ann Sofie Back made the pink outfit. I suspect Robyn was slightly nervous having the creator of the song just in front of her, while singin it, I know I would be hu! The perfomance felt really intimate and the acostics and live strings made this amazing in a way this clip doesn't really clarifies. Afterwards a teary-eyed Björk thanked Robyn, Ane Brun and Wild Birds & Peace Drums!!!

Right now: after party or not....?

More photos to come

Mama Is Proud

Post date Tue 10 Aug 2010 1:00 AM

RobynBodyTalking/twitter noticed me once again. This blog writing;

"Robyn didn’t merely take the stage when her set began, she assaulted it like it was Normandy Beach on D-Day.** Busting out with an explosive series of dance-moves, aerobics, and jumps Robyn bounced around the stage like a hip-hop ninja."

And the we have this

"First of all-the woman is a phenomenal dancer. Not a choreographed, technical dancer, but the kind of dancer that you wish YOU WERE DANCING WITH AT A PARTY. The Molly Ringwald leg kicks, the shoulder shimmy shake shakes, the works."

Legendary Interview Magazine writes

It's a treat watching Robyn perform: she shimmies, vogues a bit, occasionally pretends to make out with herself, and throws her elbows every which way, grinning all the while.

GOD DANG! The reviews has been soo positive I nearly don't know where we should go from here!!! But more good stuff coming your way, wait and see what we got in hold for you! Cooking up new stuff, it's about putting the f u n back into dancing/performing. The simple things make the difference! The raw stage presence esscens ya'll!!!
